  1. Michele, I have read through your last posts. They all stir something in the deep and words has yet to find there way for me here. Until then, strong and beautiful work of love you have given to the world through this… thank you for you!

    • Hanne, thank you. The words you have chosen express kindness and understanding. You may be interested to know that my most recent post “A-List” was inspired by a letter written by Martin Luther King (on April 16, 1963) during his incarceration in a jail in Birmingham, Alabama . His letter is worth quoting in full but one line reads, “We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” For now, I leave it at that… Love and peace. Michele

  2. Michele, very interested to know! Thank you!! In fact, I have just read the whole letter.πŸ™‚ Below, I’m pretty sure I’m straying a lot from your posts. I apologize but it was what came to my mind…
An incredible read. The sentence you highlighted rings so very true. Everything has a ripple-effect… !!
I’m much intrigued by his words and view on ‘tension’. “there is a type of constructive, nonviolent tension which is necessary for growth. Just as Socrates felt that it was necessary to create a tension in the mind so that individuals could rise from the bondage of myths and half truths to the unfettered realm of creative analysis and objective appraisal, so must we see the need for nonviolent gadflies to create the kind of tension in society that will help men rise from the dark depths of prejudice and racism to the majestic heights of understanding and brotherhood.” and “Actually, we who engage in nonviolent direct action are not the creators of tension. We merely bring to the surface the hidden tension that is already alive. We bring it out in the open, where it can be seen and dealt with. Like a boil that can never be cured so long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must be exposed, with all the tension its exposure creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured.”
Because of my fascination with us as humans, our dynamics, emotions, which to me is merely energy we have given a label, and how we can channel it into something constructive, beyond ourselves, which I think is more true to what we really are. Imagine, if we remove the label of a feeling and look upon it purely as an energy that has it’s own flow and direction and we are to listen to this flow, not the feeling to which we have attached a story, but purely ‘just’ an energy moving through us. Would it then get stuck? Perhaps by training this, we can spin perspectives to a higher state of awareness that can catapult us forward and beyond the at times limiting mind?
I’m not a future-gazer and rarely look back into history, that of my own or that of the world, however I am but curious about each lived timeless moment and what it presents to me and how we can re-create ourselves. Sometimes we need to take a step back to do so and sometimes we can go beyond the past without diving into it first…
I don’t know if any of this makes sense at all…
    Much love
    /Hanne
